Today is Kati Cooley’s birthday! Kati is my wife’s sister which means SHE IS ALSO MY SISTER. I bet I have more sisters than you.

Kati is 25. Lady Gaga is 24. That seems very weird to me.

Kati likes small dogs and small nephews and pickles and happy meals and allergy pills. She is very short.

Today is also Lindsay and Bobby Hall’s anniversary! Lindsay was my sister even before I married Kari. Lindsay is my favorite person to call when I need to talk about Harry Potter. Sometimes I just need to talk about Harry Potter.

Bobby makes pretty pictures and video games and that is pretty awesome.

Our son, Nathan, turned three years old today! He can get in his car seat without any help. HE IS OLD.

Nathan’s preferred state is without pants. Without underwear either if he can get away with it.

Nathan doesn’t mind things that are dirty but doesn’t like things that are slimy. If you read a book to him or give him candy he will be your best friend.

He starts preschool next week! Can you believe it?! I can not.

Today is my nephew Joshua’s birthday. He is turning 4 years old. Practically a grownup. You can tell I am not a grownup because I still say grownup.

Joshua likes playing the Wii, counting, and doing a good job on the bus. I taught him how to burp.
